Poetry Again
I saw The Life of Pi in 3D and there was a scene that made me think of this poem I wrote in 1954 in San Diego:
The Bay
We swam in the bay
on one of the nights of the phosphorescence
stirring the cold fire around us
shaking the essence of prophets
in finger lightening
at the sky
And everywhere the frightened fish
appealed to comets
in the sign language of falling stars
Reentering the world
on finless feet we stood a while
in clammy underwear
watching the night taking shape
falling into place
around us
And suddenly we all got dressed
because the hungry light of human skin
cannot succumb to sorcery
*****
Now I would like to paint the poem! (In those days there were flying fish seen off La Jolla Cove.)

Boulevard Art
Still trying to be Fauve-ish painting my friend Jean and her little pal Frida as they were one day a couple of years ago at an art sale in Mission Hills.
