Whenever I haven't painted anything for a while I like to look at photos from my trip to China and wonder why I don't make some art from them...

…then I decide the photos ARE the art, as well as the memories.

On KPBS Spectrum I found a book artist: (counting-coup-press.blogspot.com) whose work inspires me to make another altered book!  I don't know where she lives, but would love to visit her in her studio.

Testing…testing...

I sketched this with aquarelle crayons and then sprayed it with water.  Didn't get a good effect so went over it with colored pentel pens. Still didn't like it much so I iphoto shopped it in vignette matte and sepia.  I like sepia best!

Trying something new: Direct Watercolor sketching (without a pencil drawing underneath).  Excited to do more!
