Figgy Painting

Herewith an effort to immortalize my indoor fig tree, the one Holle brought to me when she moved away from LA environs way back in the early nineties (?).  We have grown old together.  Best roommate I ever had… (Those little decorations I brought back from China.  Figgy likes 'em.)

Dyed silk scarves today in Ruth Dorn's class.  Came home and hung 'em on the fig tree.  So beautiful catching the afternoon sun and breeze…happyme.

The Rose Bowl

This was a joint effort with Jean.  We stamped on white paper with acrylic colors using various household items including celery and carrots.  Then we tore the painting into pieces, wondering what to do with them.  So while Jean made a delicious dinner I assembled the 'rose bowl' and took a photo. I  left Jean trying to paste the thing together with watery Elmer's glue - not easy! (She didn't have any matte medium.)
