Went sketching at the Mingei yesterday and attempted the almost impossible (for me) task of representing on paper those enchanting globs of light hanging from the ceiling and their shadows - jellyfish knitted in wire by artist Arlene Fisch. I'm not at all satisfied and would like to try again, however I like what happened when I switched to the larger sea creatures (on the right) and gave up trying to make them look "right".
